An island haven blending beer, farming & art.
About Us
One-of-a-Kind Island Experiences & Thoughtfully Crafted Beers at Canada’s (probably) Smallest Brewery
Located on an 8-acre oceanfront homestead on Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Mother Mushroom is run by a passionate team that takes pride in investing directly back into our small, local community. At our core is the nano-brewery, where we craft small-batch, slow-fermented traditional beer using wild-foraged ingredients and locally sourced malt, all sold at our storefront alongside our small-batch roasted coffee, farm-fresh eggs, and artisan lard soaps. Operating in a full, intentional circle, we feed our spent brewing grains to our livestock, package our goods in our own whimsical psychedelic art, and welcome guests to experience this lifestyle through farm-stays in our renovated camper, forest camping, and work-exchanges.

Farmstay
Join us at Mother Mushroom for a night, a week, or longer. We offer camping, an airbnb, and work exchanges.

Small Batch Craft Beer
We make our beer with locally sourced malts, and enjoy exploring different traditional styles, as well as experimenting with local adjuncts.

Handmade soaps
Made from lard we render from our herritage Kune Kune pigs. We use all natural colour additions, and essential oils.

Art & Music
Beyond the brewery and farm, Mother Mushroom is also the name Laura uses to perform music under. Catch her at local events throughout the summer.

Education
Soap making, mushroom identification, beer brewing, farming best practices, and more. We love sharing what we know with visitors and guests!
